La Casa Ausente / The Absent House was selected to participate in the prestigious California Film Institute’s 7th Annual Environmental Youth Forum (EYF) 2015. It goes on from February 2-4, 2015.
On February 3, the second day of the Forum, when La Casa Ausente / The Absent House is shown, students from grades 9-12 will experience an all day “immersion”. Speakers, live presentations, over 20 films and many local and national exhibitors are all directed to an educational experience that is dynamic, engaging and entertaining.
The Environmental Youth Forum is a phenomenal opportunity to engage students on a wide variety of films on environmental issues and solutions and immerse them in a fully interactive setting by empowering the most progressive and solution-oriented thinking about the environment, inspiring conversations focused on new, better, greener ideas and by presenting opportunities to initiate environmental reform.
La Casa Ausente / The Absent House will be shown on February 3rd at 11:15 AM. It will be followed by a 20-minute discussion led by Sim Van Der Ryn, author of the seminal book “The Toilet Papers: Recycling Waste and Conserving Water”, a leader of sustainable architecture, and a Guggenheim Fellow.
